The combat this time around is grid-based and calls for a bit more strategy than the previous game, but it remains more interesting for the constant banter and hilariously absurd characters (like the group of rednecks that takes offence to your character's gender identity, regardless of what you defined it as).Īs the game progresses the challenge of battle does ramp up, with special objectives to contend with as well as enemies telegraph powerful attacks for you to avoid or need to be maneuvered into a certain area to defeat. It's tough to know what's really going on, and the game - like the show - really exploits that. So while you have to get off the road every time a car comes by to avoid getting hit, you can also defend yourself against perverted adults with fireballs.

Juxtaposing constant fart jokes and f-bombs with viciously clever tear-downs of everything from Instagram culture to the corporatisation of comic book properties, the game is more measured than the standard episode of the show and never gets too stuck in the weeds.
